Believe in Abundance!

One of the biggest issues many of us are faced with is the belief that there is a lack of money. Believing that you don't have enough money, time, support or whatever, is called having a lack consciousness, which is simply, having a consciousness of lack.  Believing in lack can definitely stop you from accomplishing your goals and dreams. One person I spoke to recently explained to me that she hasn't started her business because she needed a grant or a loan.  As we talked further, I learned that she was already doing the business. She had a few customers already and was giving away her services for free. "I love to help people" she told me. Isn't it interesting that she still found a way to do what she loved to do, regardless of having the grant or loan.

When you have the passion and desire to do something, you can usually find a way to get it done. A belief in a lack of money, or anything, is just an excuse to keep you stuck right where you are. The universe is abundant! Sixty percent of the billionaires in the world made their money from scratch. They put what little money they had into a product, service or idea and built it into a fortune! Initially, there is no difference between you and any millionaire or billionaire. Where there's a will, there's a way. Your beliefs govern your life. If you believe there is lack, then, so be it. It's all about perception! Believe in abundance, take consistent action and never give up on your goals and dreams!

“Abundance is not something we acquire. It is something we tune into.” -- Wayne Dyer

“The world is full of abundance and opportunity, but far too many people come to the fountain of life with a sieve instead of a tank car… a teaspoon instead of a steam shovel. They expect little and as a result they get little.” -- Ben Sweetland

“Expect your every need to be met. Expect the answer to every problem, expect abundance on every level.” -- Eileen Caddy

From Hard to Easy

Recently my son said that he didn't want to do a particular homework assignment because it was too hard. Have you ever expressed some tasks as being hard to do? I certainly have. I started thinking about that statement and wondered what type of outcome I was looking for when I've said something is hard to do. Was I looking for empathy or was I just giving myself a reason to not complete the task?

By saying that the homework was hard, my son was hoping it would get him out of doing it.  I, on the other hand, realized that he just had to do a little extra work in order to get it done. Because it would take a little longer to work on, it would take some time away from his play time afterwards. That was the real issue. It wasn't that the homework was hard, it just took a little more time to figure out.

I have come to realize that it doesn't matter whether a task is hard or not. What matters more than anything is the determination and desire to complete the task at hand. For example, it may not be an easy task for someone to leave their job and step out on their own to start a business. However, because of their passion, determination and strong desire to succeed, they do it anyway.  Please don't let thinking that a particular task is hard to do stop you from moving forward with your dreams and goals. Remember, it's all about your perception! What you think and the words you speak have a big impact on your life.

Since I'm always striving to speak positively, instead of saying that a task is hard, I say that it is challenging. Saying that the task is challenging helps me to get through it easier. In order to get rid of any negative thoughts that come up, you have to constantly plant good thoughts. I created another way to make things easier for myself. Instead of seeing a task as hard, I see it as a Helpful, Adventurous , Rewarding and Dynamic task. Get it? H.A.R.D. When you look at it that way, saying that a task is hard can take on a whole new meaning for you.

"I know it seems hard sometimes but remember one thing. Through every dark night, there's a bright day after that. So no matter how hard it get, stick your chest out, keep ya head up.... and handle it." – Tupac Shakur

"No matter what you're going through, there's a light at the end of the tunnel and it may seem hard to get to it but you can do it and just keep working towards it and you'll find the positive side of things." – Demi Lovato
