Lately I have been hit with one challenge after another.
Recently I had the opportunity to work next to a good friend of mine who had
ordered some office supplies. When the supplies arrived, she opened her drawer
to put them in and was surprised that she already had more than enough of the
same item she ordered. She said "It's already in there!" She looked
at me and said "Jo, did you hear that?, It's in there! It's already in
there! At that moment we both knew that
was a message we needed to hear. Just hearing her say that, sparked something
in me that seemed to have been gone for a couple of months. I wrote a blog entry a while ago about
positive messages and how important they are. Well, this message was received
loud and clear. Sometimes we get so overwhelmed with our problems and
challenges that we forget some important information about them. Information like, problems are temporary;
they teach you something new; they provide an opportunity for growth and most
importantly, we have the ability within to overcome them.
Many years ago there was a TV commercial about spaghetti
sauce that used the phrase "It's in there!" The phrase was referring
to fresh ingredients one would use to make spaghetti sauce from scratch, and
that, even though the spaghetti sauce was from a jar, those same ingredients
were in there. That TV commercial was the first thing that popped into my mind
when my friend uttered those words. However, those words were confirmation of
everything we talked about that day. We talked about already having strong
faith and the power and ability to overcome every challenge we are faced with. I am so grateful to have supportive people
around me who help me keep the faith and stay focused on my goals and dreams.
Please realize that you too, have everything within to overcome any problem you are
faced with. Always remember to go within. It's in there!
"Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength,
the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world."
- Harriet Tubman
"Go within every day and find the inner strength so
that the world will not blow your candle out." - Katherine Dunham
"Without faith a man can do nothing; with it all things
are possible." - Sir William Osler
